Our sketch comedy program
Whether you're an aspiring comedy writer, or one of our improv students looking to expand your skill set, our sketch comedy writing program is a great choice.
This three-level program is designed to take you on the journey of:
- Learning the basics of comedy writing
- Solo writing of standalone one- and two-person sketches for the stage
- Team collaboration on creating a thematically linked one-hour sketch show
During your studies there are opportunities to liaise with our bright sketch comedy community, and test material in front live, supportive audience at shows like our monthly Script Jam.
At the conclusion of the program you'll be well poised to write your own sketch comedy shows for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and you'll be eligible to audition for one of our in-house sketch comedy writing ensembles who perform in Churn.
